JERRY AND THE STRONG MEN

At Muscle Beach Los Angelos, only the most pavoline bodybuilders train here. 73 year-old Jerry Werling has been a bodybuilder all his life. He was one of the men of the first hours of muscle beach and trained next to people like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Now he lives of welfare in a small room at Venice beach, cant cook for himself but still goes out there to train every day for at least 3 hours. It is the men like him, the old ones, that keep up the acient spirit of muscle beach and stand for an old-school-bodybuilding without doping. This is a story about Jerry, his everyday life, a bodybuilding contest of the young Steroid-pumped-up generation of bodybuilders and the fading spirit of the place, where the whole weightlifting scene got started.
